The 2024 Wrangler 4xe PHEV carries the Trail Rated certification, which Jeep only hands out to vehicles which perform in five grueling categories; traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation, and water folding. They’re tested across steep roads and slick surfaces. They’re tested for optimized ground clearance and approach angles. They’re tested on tight trails and winding narrow roads. They’re tested on rough, uneven terrain. And they’re tested crossing deep puddles and overflowing streams. If they fail to perform in even one of these categories, they don’t earn that Trail Rated certification.
